About Cargo Master

Cargo Master is a container stacking puzzle with a crane. You move containers between stacks until the yard matches the goal plan. Each stack can only hold a few containers. That limit is what makes it hard.

How to play

  1. Look at the goal plan above the yard.
  2. Tap a stack to lift its top container.
  3. Tap another stack to put it down. Tap the same stack to put it back.
  4. A full stack refuses more containers and tells you why.
  5. Match the plan in as few moves as you can.

What it practises

Each stack gives you the last container first. Computer scientists call this last in, first out. Moving one thing at a time in tight space is the Tower of Hanoi idea. You learn to keep a spare stack free as a workspace.

How do you solve a container stacking puzzle?
Plan where each container goes before you lift it. Free the ones buried at the bottom first. Keep an empty stack as a workspace when you can.
How many levels does Cargo Master have?
There are 10 levels. The best score, called par, climbs from 3 moves to 16. Each level opens when you solve the one before.
How do you earn three stars?
Solve it in par moves with no hint. Within 3 moves of par gives two stars. Undo and Start again are free.
