About Excel Ninja

Excel Ninja teaches Excel keyboard shortcuts on a practice spreadsheet in your browser. You see a small task, like making a column bold. Then you press the right keys. The sheet changes at once, so you see the shortcut work.

How to play

  1. Pick a lesson from five groups. They are Copy and Paste, Formatting, Select and Jump, Data Entry, and Find and Tools.
  2. Each shortcut is shown first, with its keys. Then you're asked for it from memory.
  3. Press the keys on your keyboard. Mac users press the ⌘ key where Windows uses Ctrl.
  4. Stuck? A hint shows the first keys, then the full shortcut.
  5. Finish a lesson for stars. Then try the 60-second Sprint, where fast answers and streaks score more.

What it practises

It practises 27 common Excel shortcuts until your hands know them. That's less mouse work when you build real sheets.
