How to play Imposter
- Pass the phone round. Each player taps to see their card, then hides it. Everyone sees the same secret word, except one player, who sees "You're the Imposter".
- Go round the group. Starting with the player the phone names, everyone says one word linked to the secret word. Go round once or twice.
- Vote. Talk it over and agree on who the Imposter is, then tap their name.
- The last chance. If you caught the Imposter, they get one guess at the secret word. Guess right, and they still win.
Points
If the Imposter wins (not caught, or caught but guessed the word), they get 2 points. If the group wins, everyone else gets 1 point. Play as many rounds as you like; a new Imposter is picked each round.
Tips
- Not too obvious. If the word is "Mango" and you say "yellow fruit", the Imposter has it. Try "summer" or "aamras".
- Not too vague either, or the group will think you're the Imposter.
- Imposter: listen to the first few words, then say something that would fit most of them.
- Bigger groups (6 or more) are harder for the Imposter and more fun to argue in.
The word packs
Food (25), Places (25), Animals (25), Jobs (25), Around the house (25), Sports & games (25), Cricket (25), Famous movies (25). Choose one pack or mix several. Words don't repeat until you've used them all.
Names you type stay on your phone. Nothing about the game is sent anywhere.
