About Hex Dominion

Hex Dominion is a turn-based strategy game on a board of hexagons. You play against the computer. Grow your territory, strengthen your hexes and attack the enemy. Win by taking its capital or by holding most of the map.

How to play

  1. Each turn you get action points, called AP. You start with 2.
  2. Tap an empty hex next to yours to expand. It costs 1 AP.
  3. Tap your own hex to make it stronger, up to strength 5. It costs 1 AP.
  4. Tap a red hex to see the odds, then tap again to attack. It costs 2 AP.
  5. Press End Turn and watch the enemy move.

What it practises

An attack only works if your hex is stronger than the target. A tie costs both hexes 1 strength. So you must balance growing wide against building strength. The game has 7 levels with six computer opponents, from random to defensive.

Questions

How do you win Hex Dominion?
Capture the enemy capital, or hold 60% of the map. The last level needs 80%.
How do you attack in Hex Dominion?
You need a neighbouring hex with strength 2 or more. It must be stronger than the target. You can also drag from the hex you want to attack with.
What are resource hexes?
Each resource hex you own gives you 1 extra AP per turn. They appear from the Warlord level.
Does it have a 3D view?
It opens in 2D. A switch lets you try an optional 3D board in beta.
